Can a tire with a nail be repaired?
Usually, yes, provided the nail or screw is located within the tread area and the puncture diameter is 6 mm (¼ inch) or smaller. We follow the industry repair standard used by the Tire and Rubber Association of Canada and USTMA.
Repairable
- Nail or screw in the tread
- Hole up to 6 mm
- Tire not driven flat
- Not already repaired nearby
Not repairable
- Sidewall or shoulder damage
- Holes larger than 6 mm
- Inner liner shredded from driving flat
- Bulges or cuts
Can a sidewall puncture be fixed?
No. The sidewall flexes constantly, so a repair there can fail at speed. A sidewall puncture requires a replacement tire; our team will match it to your remaining set or quote an axle pair. See tire prices.
Patch-plug vs plug only
We take the tire off the rim and install a patch-plug from the inside: the plug fills the hole and the patch seals the liner. A plug pushed in from outside is a roadside stop-gap, not a permanent repair.
How much is a flat tire repair?
Pricing depends on puncture location and repairability. We inspect the tire first and explain your options before starting any work. Every repair includes dismounting the tire from the rim, installing a vulcanized internal patch-plug, rebalancing the wheel, and inspecting the valve stem and TPMS sensor (typically 30 to 45 minutes).
Prices are not published online yet. Call 905-348-4020 with your vehicle or tire size for today's price.
Can I get a flat fixed on a Sunday?
Yes. Flats are walk-in 7 days a week, Sundays included. Call 905-348-4020 on the way so we're ready.
What if I get a flat after you close?
- 01Pull over somewhere safe and turn on your hazards.
- 02Don't drive on a flat; rolling on the rim shreds the inner liner and ruins a tire that could have been repaired.
- 03Fit the spare, or call your roadside assistance plan.
- 04Bring the wheel in during shop hours; no appointment is needed.
