Which oil does my car need?

The one in your owner's manual: a viscosity such as 0W-20 or 5W-30, plus the manufacturer's approval code. We confirm both by year, make and model before we pour.

Many newer engines, especially small turbocharged ones, require full synthetic. Regardless of oil type, follow your vehicle manufacturer's maintenance intervals; synthetic oil alone does not justify stretching oil change schedules.

How often should I change my oil?

Follow your vehicle's maintenance schedule: either the interval in your owner's manual or your car's digital oil-life monitor. Intervals vary between engines and oil types, so we check yours rather than quote a single number.

Short trips, cold starts and towing count as severe service, and most manuals shorten the interval for it. A lot of St. Catharines driving in winter fits that description.

Will an oil change here affect my new car warranty?

Manufacturers ask for proof that the maintenance schedule was followed with the right products. Our detailed invoice records the oil brand and specification, litres used, filter part number, date and kilometres to satisfy warranty requirements.

Keep every receipt, follow the schedule in your warranty booklet, and check its exact requirements. We can't give legal advice, but we can make sure the paperwork is complete.

Combine it with your seasonal visit

Ask for an oil change with your tire changeover, or add a battery test before the first frost. One visit, one invoice.

Your invoice shows the suggested kilometres for the next change. Used oil and filters are collected for recycling, as Ontario requires.
